Henry VII

Succeeded the Yorkist Richard III after his defeat and death at the Battle Of Bosworth effectively marking the end of the Wars Of The Roses and also of the Plantagenets. Henry was the last English monarch to win the crown on the battlefield (and Richard the last monarch to die on it) and subsequently became the first monarch of the House of Tudor.
